Acquia Cloud Drush commands not working with Drush 8?

Hi,

I'm trying to use the Acquia Cloud drush commands; I've downloaded my Acquia cloud .conf file and drush aliases, but none of the commands seem to work. I get this error for every command I try:

Alias file is missing Acquia Cloud information: ac-site, ac-env, ac-realm. Be sure to specify a complete Acquia Cloud alias name, such as @mysite.dev.

I've double-checked my alias file and there are values for ac-site, ac-env, and ac-realm, but when I examine the drush execution, those values aren't available to drush via drush_get_option().

Are the acapi commands tied to an older version of Drush? Or is there some special configuration I need in order to use them?

I am also having this issue, here is example command and output:

$ drush @mysite.dev ac-code-path-deploy develop --key="$ACQUIA_API_KEY" --email="$ACQUIA_API_EMAIL"
Alias file is missing Acquia Cloud information: ac-site, ac-env, ac-realm
Task  started.

The issue is resolved for me but I'm not convinced why. I hadn't run drush cc all in a while, so I ran that, then re-tried the command and it succeeded.
