Acquia's preparations for Hurricane Sandy

As hurricane Sandy approaches the Northeastern United States, we want to inform you of Acquia’s service continuity plan over the next few days.

Acquia’s customer service organization is distributed between US West, US East, Europe (EMEA), and Australia (APAC). Our standard business continuity measures are in place to ensure the team will continue serving customers in all regions in the event there are local power outages at Acquia's headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Acquia Cloud Customers

For Acquia Cloud customers with sites in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) US-East region, please note that we are prepared to respond to normal support requests as well as any emergencies that may arise due to the weather. Acquia Managed Cloud’s highly available, redundant architecture will protect customers against most failures in one Availability Zone. Additionally, we are prepared to act on any situation within our control as needed to maintain or restore service to impacted customers.

We have been in communication with our AWS technical contacts who report the AWS infrastructure teams are following their storm response plans including confirming generator fuel, food/water, flashlights, radios, and extra staff.

We recommend to customers who purchased Acquia's multi-region redundant hardware architecture that you review your failover procedure should it be necessary.
