Does anyone know how to configure Dev Desktop to use a proxy?

I'm trying to use Acquia Dev Desktop 2 Beta behind a proxy at work (Win 7), but there doesn't seem to be any proxy configuration settings for the program.

When I try to log in to Acquia cloud, it times out and says:

Login failed.
Network error: Couldn't connect to server

Has anyone figured out how to make this work through your proxy?

Have you looked at configuring the DevDesktop Apache mod_proxy module for your company intranet?

My solution was having my network folks to allow me to bypass the proxy, not optimal but it worked.

maybe in settings.php of the site i'm working on i've found this lines...
i'm in a farm LAN so i think this could give the right permissions to pass the proxy and do not have problems with drupal updates and ather services like the upper one listed? or i'm doing wrong?

Hello to all! I have a similar problem as discussed here. I have tried Tim's option of bypassing the proxy but still in vain.

I'm very new to Drupal. While in the process of installing Aquia Dev Desktop 2, when it was almost finishing a warning pop-up came on the screen before completion. When I clicked ok, it led me to the welcome screen of Dev desktop.

Here is another problem, when I click on "Start from scratch, I dont have an existing Drupal site" option, another window opens showing "Drupal distribution lists is not available." Its the same case when I click on the + button on the buttom left.

I'm running windows 10 on my machine.
Does anybody have a solution to this? I apppreciate your kind responses. Thanks.

We worked with the Acquia team and in the latest version of Acquia Desk top they have added Proxy Configuration: https://docs.acquia.com/dev-desktop/config
