Accessing Dev Desktop databases with Sequel Pro

Hi,
I've just started using Dev Desktop. It works fine (and I love it), but I'd like to use Sequel Pro to manage the MySql databases. Unfortunately, I can't get a connection to work.

I've found some articles which talk about setting up a socket connection using mysql.sock, but I cannot find this file anywhere.
Can someone help me please as this is driving me nuts!

Cheers,

Paul Drake

Documentation is here: https://docs.acquia.com/articles/remote-database-administration-using-th...

Please also see the screenshot for a proper connection setup to Acquia Cloud including free tier.

Make sure your ssh keys are set correctly.

One catch here is that you will need to use "localhost" as the MySql Host. Sequel Pro tries to be smart and make you use 127.0.0.1 instead of "localhost", which then unfortunately will not work with Acquia Cloud. The workaround here is to add a space after "localhost" (again, see screenshot).

Hi yuan.xie, Thanks for your reply. Sorry it's been while replying, but I had a project with a tight deadline.

Unfortunately, your reply seemed to refer to Acquia Cloud. I am using Dev Desktop, so I do not know how to set up an SSH connection to ADD, or even if it's possible.

Although I'm fairly technical, SSH is quite new to me and I struggle with it a bit.

Can anyone help with this? It seems like it should be possible to use SQLPro with ADD.
