Search API module: The Solr server of Solr could not be reached.

I can't seem to get the Search API module to connect with your Solr hosting. I've tried all combinations of the settings I could think of but always get "The Solr server could not be reached." when trying to "add server" with the Search API.

I was wondering if I have misunderstood some settings, or how to connect to the solr hosting in general. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I attached some screenshots with my settings.

The Solr host should simply be the domain name, so you just need to remove the http:// (notice in the URI the "http://http://").

I can't connect to my solr with Search API. I need to know the host, port, folder and authentication info (my account username and password?). I have tried all the combinations...

Please help!!!

Acquia Search implements a special authentication that is currently not supported for Search API. Please keep an eye on the developments to see when this would be resolved. We can't give you any promises though.

Trying to get Search API to work with Acquia search as well. Has this been resolved?

Thanks,

I would also be interested in using acquia search with search api. Any integration on the way?

Another vote for Search API integration here. We need faceted search for user profile fields and as far as I can tell, Search API and Facet API is the only way to do that.

A new document was just posted to our site at https://docs.acquia.com/master/acquia-search-using-search-api with some instructions -- we are working on rolling this out!

Just to confirm that I'm having similar problems as #12, #13.

Amy, is there any traction on getting this sorted?

Specifically, this line doesn't make sense to me in the referenced doc:

In the Acquia Network > Acquia Search page, click the gear icon to open the Acquia Search settings box.

Please can you help where this is? On the Drupal installed site, or Acquia's control panel somewhere?

Many thanks,

Barry

I agree. This is what I see on the acquia search tab on my network page. No settings box.

I agree I am confused by and cannot find:

In the Acquia Network > Acquia Search page, click the gear icon to open the Acquia Search settings box.

Any progress? This is a huge issue, since Drupal Commerce Kickstart v2 relies on the Search API.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same problem: I've configured the acquia search api module, and I'm experiencing the same issue described here:

http://drupal.org/node/1751662

I've followed all the instructions but I still can't see anything in the search tab, like the others here.

Here's our lovely linked page (403 error). Is there ANY clear, definitive documentation on what versions of what to use? Currently there's instructions to use Search API Solr version 7.x-1.0-rc3, which was released in January 2013. However, there's no clarity on what version of Search API to use. Can someone from Acquia weigh in on this?
